DESIGN STAGE

The service provided by BBEC is intended to inform the client

about the status of the works and existing structures with regard

to compliance with regulations and/or presence of defects or

damages that would reduce the safety or serviceability level of

the structure.

 

1-Visual inspection on the existing under construction work

to investigate on its actual site condition, identifying any

areas of defects / non conformities.

2-Review the accident and condition assessment report as

prepared upon occurrence of incident, Review the

structural design of the related parts of the structure as

originally conceived, Provide technical advice on the

margin of safety inherent to the structural existing

system contractor in construction

3- eview the history of the structure through available

survey & QC site reports.

 

STRUCTURAL DESIGN REVIEW

BBEC engineers provide design review and assistance in the

design of building structures from the early stages of the

conceptual designs, through the review/Check of calculation

notes and design drawings for their compliance with applicable

codes and standards, till the final approval.

  • The widest variety of applicable load types and load cases is

investigated including Gravity Seismic, Wind, Thermal, Vehicle.

Impact and Blast loads Most types of structural systems are

covered comprising Reinforced Concrete, Steel, Precast Post

Tensioned, Composite, Cable Supported and Tension structures,

Al well known software packages in the building industry are

utilized Including ETABS, SAP, SAFE, STAAD Pro, RAM Concept

ROBOT, MIDAS PROKON, ABAQUS.

  • Normal and ADVANCED types of analysis are used such as

Dynamic, Non Linear, P-Delta. Staged Construction and FE

general 3D stress analysis, as well as fatigue and fracture

mechanics and general forensic structural analysis.
